We Are Glass

Life is so fragile and I feel all to often we take it completely for granted. Not only can we be caught hurting our own lives but we are often caught up in the pain of others. Every individual should be handled like a delicate piece of glass. Remembering even the slightest harsh word could be the punch that shatters. We break fast, cause we are glass. So often we get caught up in moments and don't think before reacting or speaking. But in reality in every situation we need to carry life like glass. Protecting it from chipping, cracking and shattering. THinking before hand and reacting quickly to protect the delicate. Every word, every pain creates a crack or chip that isn't capable of being fixed exactly how it once was.

Everyone has baggage, it's an unfortunate fact. Although each hurt is forever a scar we carry with us. Overcoming is painful but in most cases sealable. We can shine and over come. like pieces of glass mended together to create a beautiful stained glass individual. Overcoming pain can be beautiful. We are shaped by the light we allow through us.

With every individual who may come and go I try to keep this in mind "try not to judge, 'cause we've walked down different paths, But it brought us here together, so I won't take that back." This song by Thompson Square has been the second example which describes us humans like glass. I can't think of any better way to define ourselves. We are fragile, we are human. I encourage you to perceive everyone as a delicate piece of glass. If you have baggage, pieces and cracks to mend seek Christ to mold you into a beautiful stained glass and an example of mending and overcoming.

"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." --2 Chronicles 7:14

"Glass"

Trying to live and love,
With a heart that can't be broken,
Is like trying to see the light with eyes that can't be opened.
Yeah, we both carry baggage,
We picked up on our way, so if you love me do it gently,
And I will do the same.

We may shine, we may shatter,
We may be picking up the pieces here on after,
We are fragile, we are human,
We are shaped by the light we let through us,
We break fast, cause we are glass.
Cause we are glass.

I'll let you look inside me, through the stains and through the cracks,
And in the darkness of this moment,
You see the good and bad.
But try not to judge me, 'cause we've walked down different paths,
But it brought us here together, so I won't take that back.

We may shine, we may shatter,
We may be picking up the pieces here on after,
We are fragile, we are human,
We are shaped by the light we let through us,
We break fast, cause we are glass.

We might be oil and water, this could be a big mistake,
We might burn like gasoline and fire,
It's a chance we'll have to take.

We may shine, we may shatter,
We may be picking up the pieces here on after,
We are fragile, we are human,
And we are shaped by the light we let through us,
We break fast, cause we are glass.
We are glass.
